Program Structure

Do you want to improve your basketball skills while having fun? This program will take place in Concordia College’s spacious gym in the Meyer Athletic Center. The program is open to both boys and girls and players will be grouped by age, ability and gender. Our 4-day session will be led by Concordia College’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Brian Sondey, and include players from the Concordia Men’s Basketball team as counselors. This program consists of individual skill building, drills, game play with instruction, confidence building, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Brian Sondey has recently completed his 5th year as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Concordia College.  This past season's Clippers team will be returning 11 players for the 2015-16 season.  These student-athletes serve as counselors for the Slam Dunk Camp.  In Brian Sondey's tenure, the Concordia Clippers have had multiple players named to the prestigious CACC All-Conference and All-Met teams.  The Clippers have also established the 7th-best single season record in the 41-year history of the program under Sondey (2012-13), and appeared in the CACC Playoffs (2011-12).  Brian Sondey is dedicated to Concordia Basketball's community engagement, serving as the day-to-day Director of the Slam Dunk Camp.  The Clippers were also honored by the NCAA for community service efforts with a national award in 2014.  

Coach Sondey’s primary responsibilities include overseeing all recruiting, in-game management, on-court development, academic progress, and off-season skill improvement.

Important Notes

Lunch/Snack: Campers enrolled in Slam Dunk Basketball are responsible for bringing their own lunch. Snacks are available for purchase.
